Offering big grilling performance in a portable package, the Cuisinart CGG-180 Petit Gourmet portable gas grill is an ideal choice for families who like to grill on the go. The Petit Gourmet grill--which comes with a telescoping VersaStand--offers a 145-square-inch grilling area, enough space to accommodate from four to six people at a time. At the same time, the grill saves space by eliminating extra grilling spots and burners that waste propane and rarely get used. With the Petit Gourmet grill, you can grill up a small feast everywhere you go. The grill is also perfect for small patios, unlike large gas grills that take up half the patio by themselves.

Big Grilling Performance

The Petit Gourmet doesn't compromise when it comes to keeping you well fed. Despite the compact size, the grilling surface is large enough to grill eight burgers, eight steaks, six to 10 chicken breasts, or up to 4 pounds of fish. The grill's superior heating performance stems from the powerful 5,500 BTU stainless-steel burner and porcelain-enameled grill grate, which combine to heat the grill quickly and evenly to more than 500 degrees F. Whether you're grilling at a tailgate, on a camping trip with the family, or at the beach after a fun-filled day in the waves, the Petit Gourmet grill will easily feed you and your crowd.

Portability Made Easy

Built for convenience and portability, the Petit Gourmet includes the thoughtfully designed VersaStand, an easy-to-use, easy-to-set-up grill stand that keeps the grill at a comfortable cooking height. The VersaStand sets up and packs away in seconds, giving you more time to enjoy the event and less time worrying about the hassles of putting your barbecue together. In fact, the grill and stand are so convenient to transport, carry, and set up, you won't think twice about tossing it in the trunk of your car.

The VersaStand comes integrated into the base of the grill, with a set of telescoping poles that smoothly collapse for easy storage. Simply push the button on each VersaStand leg to release the telescoping legs, and then lift up the grill box. Once the two legs drop into position, you'll have a sturdy grill that stands at an ideal grilling height. No more breaking your back bending over a grill that sits mere inches off the ground. And when you're finished grilling, the stand collapses as easily as it sets up, making it easy to pack up your stuff. The grill also includes a secure front lid lock, which keeps the lid safely closed when you're on the move, and a pronounced carrying handle that lets you tote the 17-pound grill just like a briefcase.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as advertised. BEWARE FAKE REVIEWS., June 7, 2011

This review is from: Cuisinart CGG-180 Petit Gourmet Portable Gas Grill with VersaStand (Lawn & Patio)
After reading all these glowing reviews, I was expecting the fire of the gods. When it came, my Cuisinart grill was a total disappointment. Can't get hot enough to grill a steak, half the grill surface only gets "warm."

I went back to file my review, and looked more closely at the five star reviews of this product. NOT ONE OF THEM HAS EVER REVIEWED ANOTHER PRODUCT ON AMAZON.

Go back in my review history and you'll see I do my best to post my honest experience with a variety of products (in this category I've also reviewed my beloved Smokin' Tex smoker a couple years ago). So I'm not just one of Cuisinart's employees, taking an afternoon to establish a bunch of phony Amazon identities and post a bunch of fluff about my company's product.

On the plus side, this grill is made as durably as many in its segment. But you'll be better off popping for a Weber Q or even one of Cuisinart's better tabletop models. They make one called the all-foods grill that is... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Portable Grill, July 2, 2011
This review is from: Cuisinart CGG-180 Petit Gourmet Portable Gas Grill with VersaStand (Lawn & Patio)
Having read all the conflicting reviews on this grill I was totally confused. I received this grill as a present and was quite concerned that my friend might have wasted her money. I grill a lot on larger gas grills but have never worked on a small portable one, and I do not have the patience to use charcoal.

Here is what it is not: A 3 burner Weber gas grill -- but then it does not pretend to be. Anyone buying this with the anticipation that it will perform with the speed and flexibility of a larger grill will likely be disappointed.

Here is what it is: A very good portable gas grill that takes a minute or two longer to cook steaks, hamburgers, kabobs, chicken, hot dogs etc. It heats up fast, is easy to start and clean and is extremely portable. I liked it a lot and will use it a great deal this summer. To have a grill that is easily transportable and will work off of small tanks of propane is terrific.

I have no idea what all of these raging and... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little grill, July 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Cuisinart CGG-180 Petit Gourmet Portable Gas Grill with VersaStand (Lawn & Patio)
After reading the conflicting reviews on this grill I decided to give it a try. I buy numerous items on Amazon and usually dont take the time to review them because I haven't had any problems and dont take the time for positive reviews. However after reading about the supposed fake reviews on this grill I am taking the time to review it. I was looking for a small, inexpensive portable grill to use on the sandbar with my wife and 3 kids when we take the boat out. This grill looked ideal as the legs can be extended to set it up in shallow water or shore without hauling an additional table. The grill arrived and the legs went on in under 5 minutes. I threw on a 2 year old propane bottle that was maybe 1/4 full. I burned off the new crud for 5 minutes and threw on several burgers and hot dogs to give it a try. The burgers were completely frozen. I left the grill on medium high and did the burgers 6 minutes a side. They were very well done and probably on the grill for too long... Read more
